Roche Ireland, one of Ireland’s leading healthcare manufacturers has recently undergone an overhaul of their Managed Print Service. MJ Flood provide an exceptional local service with market leading Konica Minolta devices at the heart of the solution. Staff at Roche are delighted with the speed of the new devices and performance issues are a thing of the past. All this has been delivered without any capital outlay and flexibility built in, to allow for future changes in the needs of the business.
Renewing the Print Environment
Having already installed a managed print system some years previously, Roche found the HP devices “painfully slow” according to Kevin O’Donovan, Purchasing Manager at Roche Ireland. “We chose MJ Flood based on the quality of the Konica Minolta devices and the level of service at a local level. The entire print service is truly managed by the provider, and our only issue is that the pro-active service we get means we sometimes don’t even know that the engineer has been and gone!”
Managing the Solution
Integrating the MFDs into print management software, SafeQ Version 5, allows Roche to centrally manage print policies, force print rules and manage secure printing. Users can only retrieve prints using their security proximity card. All activity relating to print, copy, scan and fax activity is actively monitored and automatically reported to IT Administrators. A pro-active service tool called Facilities Manager, enables MJ Flood provide a premium on-site service, resulting in down-time for devices no longer being an issue.
Financing the Solution
MJ Flood directly financed the entire solution with a Flexible Service Agreement. Benefits include zero capital expenditure, a facility to upgrade hardware/software at any time, fixed quarterly payments for budgeting and lower administrative effort. A Cost Per Print for both mono and colour was agreed to include all hardware, software, support and training.
